I feel like the latest Bruha over at LJ may finally drive so much of fandom away that it really is time to consider abandoning it.  So, here is a practice post...  The 2011 TV Meme:

Which TV shows did you start watching in 2011?

Quite a Few!

Game of Thrones - Becoming Dangerously One True Showish!  Yay
Once Upon A Time - I'm loving it.  So many great characters, though I'm mad that they killed off Graham
Secret Circle - I know this one is probably not popular, but I am shameless about it because Faye Chamberlain rules all.
Switched At Birth - Fantastic casting of both adults and kids.  I feel like these are real families.
Lying Game - I don't know why.  I just do.
Terra Nova - I still believe that it has potential. 
Falling Skies - As with Terra Nova, I still believe this has potential too.
Two Broke Girls - Sometimes this show gets really tacky.  And yet I keep coming back
Revenge - A totally fun guilty pleasure.



Which TV shows did you let go of in 2011?

Supernatural - FINALLY.  It was a painfully long time coming.
Walking Dead - The only interesting thing on it was the zombies.  And that wasn't enough. 


Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2011? Why?

Ringer - I tried one Ep, and found it boring.
Pan Am - It just didn't engage me, though I love period drama.
Grimm - I probably could get into it, but I'm just not trying. ;)

Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2012?

Alcatraz
The River
Legend of Korra, if it ever finally airs!

Which TV show impressed you least in 2011?

Hell on Wheels - Just not into the "All Northern Soldiers are EVIL but all Southern Soldiers were NOBLE!" thing.  At all.
The Killing - It started out fascinating, and then became increasingly pointless until the finale just killed it.
Pretty Little Liars - I just got bored with it.
True Blood - This show is just awful.

Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2012 unless things significantly improve?

Lying Game, Switched At Birth - Mostly because I have a history of dropping non-genre teen soap type shows.


Which TV show impressed you the most in 2011? Why?

Game of Thrones - It is a thrilling show, beautifully filmed, and superbly cast.  I totally love the Stark family, especially Sansa, Robb & Cat.  I also love Tyrion and Dany, and I am so psyched for season two to start already!!


Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why?

Game of Thrones - See above.  I'm pretty much in love with it..
The Vampire Diaries - It's pretty bad to begin with, and I'm still here any way.  LOL

Mad Men!!!  Please come baaaaaaaack!  I miss you
Fringe - I'm not as in to it as I should be.  But for some reason, I keep trying.
Dr. Who - Sometimes there are episodes that are transcendent.  And others that are just boring.  I watch even though it feels like someone else's fandom to me.
