So, as a Chicagoan, I would not usually every, under any circumstances root for the Packers to win a game.  But I have a Sports-Team-Hate that is much stronger and longer standing than my standard-issue Chicago Packer-hate, and that is for the San Francisco 49ers.  (The reasons are many, but I will summarize by saying the 82' & 89' Super Bowls and be done with it.)

Yesterday I was rooting for the Packers for one reason only...  I thought they would have a better chance of beating the 49ers this week than the Giants.  I have absolutely nothing against the Giants, but I have my priorities!  So of course, the Packers lose the one time I root for them.  Oh the pain, the pain.

While discussing with family members what to do for Super Bowl Sunday, it was discovered that because I will not watch the game if the 49ers are in it, and Scott will not watch the game if the Patriots are in it, and Jenny would not watch the game if the Packers are in it... That we can not watch the Super Bowl this year, unless it ends up being the Giants and Ravens.

Such a conundrum!

The Sherlock Holmes movie is the only film I ended up seeing from this batch of Christmas movies.  I give it a C+ at best.  I got really bored by the preposterous action sequences.

I've also seen The Artist.  Blah.  All.About.Man.Pain.  Though I liked the final reveal at the end, there was a long stretch in the middle of the movie that just wallowed and wallowed in the fraking man pain.  I will say that the actor and actress were both very charming and had a lot of charisma and that the dog is adorable and steals many, many scenes.  B-.

My two favorite Oscar movies are Hugo and Moneyball.  They are awesome, go see them.

There are many more movies that I'm looking forward to in '12 than there were in '11.

Hunger Games
Snow White & the Huntsman
Mirror Mirror
The Lorax
The Raven
Dark Shadows
Jack the Giant Killer
Brave
THE HOBBIT

(Notice the lack of Dark Knight and Avengers?  Yup.  They're not there.   But I might be convinced to see Spiderman.  ;)

Downton Abbey is still fabulous.  I love Edith.  She's my girl.  Go Edith!

Once Upon A Time is still Charming.  :)  I am intrigued by the Mysterious Stranger, though, I can't imagine that I'll like him as well as I liked Graham.  I could, however, ship Emma with Hansel & Gretel's papa.  :)  I'm not sure losing Graham will really pay off.

I also believe this show is all about Emma and Regina, and that they are the leads over Snow & Charming, Rumple, et al.

It's about Emma & Regina.

Today is Mid-January Blah-day at work, mostly because we won't get our site list to really start working until tomorrow.  Perhaps then I won't be so blah as is reflected in this post!
